Matt started his career as a designer and over the last 14 years he has explored and probed most of the design and strategic disciplines that contribute towards creating and delivering brands. Matt worked for smaller boutique design studios and led creative and strategy teams for large global branding agencies in the roles of Creative and Executive Creative Director and Executive Brand Director. As one of the founding members of The Brand Union Middle East and an integral part of their Executive team for 5 years, Matt has extensive experience both in delivering the clients’ business and defining and delivering an agency’s own.

Matt has worked across the UK, South Africa and MENA markets (with exposure to China, Singapore, Poland and Russia), and has experience across most sectors and brand and design disciplines. Kim Edmondson, Social Media and Internet Marketing Strategist

Kim brings a diverse background leading distribution and tune-in marketing for AOL/Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting (CNN, TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network); as a consultant for the global search engine marketing leader, National Positions; and as the Publicist for The Northern California Leadership Summit.  She has a Broadband Media, Ad Sales and Marketing background, mixed with branding, public relations and search engine optimization experience.  Having worked with some of America’s top brands including CNN, Star Wars, Sports Illustrated, Cartoon Network, People and TNT, and with  multiple industry leaders including, Finance, Cable, Satelite, Insurance, Health Care, Phone, Construction, Architecture, Design, and Manufacturing, Kim provides broad base expertise in content creation and customer acquisition.

While having launched major broadcast networks, Kim developed a passion for helping smaller companies and sole proprietors learn social media and online marketing.  She formed HomePage Marketing and created one of the first Social Media Posting Services in East Bay San Francisco.

Sharon Sim-Krause, Public Relations Consultant

Sharon Sim-Krause, founder of Sim-Krause Consulting, specializes in public relations and management consulting. Sharon brings a broad array of experiences as an entrepreneur, a senior practitioner at leading PR firms, as a media relations expert and as a television producer/journalist and writer to deliver results for her clients. Sharon was executive vice president at GolinHarris (a top 10 PR firm), and director of Panache, its Asian practice. She served as head of the San Francisco office, driving new business, marketing, media relations and servicing technology, financial, professional services and Asian-related clients with a team of talented PR professionals.

Prior to GolinHarris, Sharon was founder and president of Panache Communications for six years. Panache, an award-winning boutique agency, joined the GolinHarris network in 2006. Previously she was with WeberShandwick, the world’s largest public relations firm.

Born in Singapore, and having worked and lived in both Asia and the US, Sharon straddles both sides of the Pacific comfortably. She provides strategic and balanced perspectives to clients looking to bolster their business operations domestically and internationally.

Prior to WeberShandwick, Sharon worked for Shipley & Associates, a political consulting firm whose client portfolio included Al Gore and ex-Texas Governor Anne Richards. Sharon was former Executive TV producer at Asian American Austin, a public television program where she supervised a 30-member production crew and produced documentaries, political forums and talk shows. She also worked at software company, National Instruments, the Texas Department of Commerce and Edelman Public Relations Worldwide.

Sharon graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism, Public Relations (Honors) from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a recipient of the Thomas Thompson Journalism Scholarship and the Weinberg Award for Excellence in Writing. She has a wide circle of networks and is fluent in various Chinese languages such as Mandarin, Hokkien and Teochew.
